The tenth edition of SEO Plus 2025, the largest SEO conference in Spain and the Spanish-speaking world, took place on July 25, 2025, at its usual venue, VP Spaces in Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain. Organized by Webpositer Agency and Team Platino, the event brought together more than 600 in-person attendees, once again solidifying its role as a key educational reference and meeting point for the Spanish-speaking SEO community. As always, it was an event highly anticipated by everyone.

I had the opportunity to attend as press and soak in the event atmosphere, conducting interviews with the audience and organizers—specifically Iñaki Tovar, Chuiso, and Luis Villanueva; speakers Clara Soteras, Andrea Buitrago, and María Navarro; award recipients MJ Cachón and Marc Cruells; and José Ramón Padrón, a representative from WordPress.com. With all this material, I created a video to relive SEO Plus 2025.
The event ran from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., ending with a networking event that later continued into a closing dinner at Punta Piedra. Fortunately, this year the temperatures were a few degrees cooler—something we attendees frequently commented on.
As always, the stage setup was spectacular, with impressive lighting in the auditorium and the lively, engaging presentation by Chuiso and Luis Villanueva. This edition opened with a performance by Gazir, a freestyle rapper known for his improvisations and battles with MCs like Zasko, Walls, Errecé, and BTA.

Afterward, the 13 talks began, divided into three thematic blocks:
- White Hat SEO, featuring experts such as Rubén Villanueva, José Roig, Andrea Buitrago, and María Navarro.
- Grey Hat SEO, represented by voices like Olga Ortega, Celia Villarino, Guille Montero, Clara Soteras, and Álvaro Mazariegos.
- Black Hat SEO, with speakers like Sergio Canales, Romeo Octav, Seliyu, and José Pascual.
Emerging profiles like María Navarro also stood out. In the video-review interview, she shares what it was like to experience speaking in front of such a large audience for the first time at SEO Plus.

One of the central themes was the disruption caused by artificial intelligence in the SEO field. Talks like María Navarro’s “Planting Visibility in the Era of Algorithms and AIGs,” Andrea Buitrago’s “Ethical SEO in the Age of AI: Artificial Intelligence as a Co-Pilot, Not an Autopilot,” and Clara Soteras & Álvaro Mazariegos’s “No AI, No ChatGPT: The Real Bikini Plan to Capture Traffic in Google Discover This Summer” brought a lot of attention to this technological revolution, which, due to its magnitude, is considered a cultural paradigm shift.

Practical case studies are always a great opportunity, as the speakers share the results of months of work and you can ask them questions. I’d like to highlight the talks by José Pascual with “From 0 to 600 Million Views on YouTube in 8 Months,” Celia Villarino with “A True Story of Visibility and Authority in the Country’s Leading Media Outlets,” Seliyu with “How to Manage Over 100 Websites and Not Lose Your Mind,” and Romeo Octav Chiritoiu with “The Dirty (and Legal) Trick to Earn More While Working Less.”
The presentations, broadly speaking, emphasized how new tools are transforming the way brands and creators approach online visibility. The viability of niche sites in the era of AI was also discussed in SEO Cocktail, a format where attendees were invited to enjoy cocktails, with or without alcohol. From the stage, several experts shared their views on the topic, and as Marc Cruells mentioned in his interview, “the debate got heated” with the question: Are niches dead?

To close, the second edition of the SEO Plus Congress Awards was held, aiming to recognize the professional achievements of outstanding SEO specialists. The winners were:
- José Pascual in the Rising Star category,
- Álvaro Fontela for Entrepreneurship,
- MJ Cachón for Career Achievement, and
- Marc Cruells for the Honorary Award.
To wrap up, the long-awaited moment of beerworking—the essential face-to-face gathering for the SEO community—followed by the closing dinner at Punta Piedra.

And that brought us to the end of a day full of timely content and high-level debates, all within a relaxed and professional atmosphere. This tenth edition also marks a turning point for the Congress, as its organizers are renewing the format to adapt to new technologies and the evolving needs of the sector. In this case, they’ll be moving away from the traditional categories of Black, Grey, and White SEO, replacing them with Monetization, Artificial Intelligence, and Traffic. A smart decision that doesn’t aim to erase the past, but to update the conversation.
Will they change the name? No. The spirit of SEO Plus remains intact, with its community and essence more alive than ever. In fact, according to Luis Villanueva and Chuiso, this decision was made during this very interview—don’t miss it! You’ll get a sneak peek at what’s coming for SEO Plus 2026.

And with that, I say goodbye. Without a doubt, it was a flawless edition to celebrate their ten-year anniversary and raise the bar high for what’s to come in 2026. See you very soon.
