The sixth edition of Digital Social Marketing, the DSM Valencia 2025, took place on June 28, 2025, at Kinépolis, consolidating its position as one of the leading events in the field of digital marketing in Valencia. Since its beginnings in 2017, the congress has offered a unique in-person experience that combines advanced training, strategic inspiration, and networking opportunities for professionals in the sector.
In this edition, the main theme throughout the sessions was the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a technology that is redefining the rules of marketing and completely transforming how brands communicate, analyze data, and create personalized experiences. DSM Valencia 2025 focused on how AI is driving a new era in SEO, marketing automation, copywriting, advertising, and conversion funnel optimization.
Key trends such as the evolution of link building, AI-powered content creation, the future of social media, sales on LinkedIn, personal branding, and the development of more effective landing pages were also explored. It was a day that not only analyzed tools and strategies but also reflected on the cultural and paradigm shift that artificial intelligence is generating in society and the digital ecosystem.
The event began at 9 a.m. and concluded at 8:30 p.m. Twenty-one industry experts delivered 20-minute talks with an educational focus. This edition brought together more than 700 attendees, including digital marketing professionals, agencies, freelancers, startups, sponsors, and students. It was an event I couldn’t miss, one I had the opportunity to attend and experience firsthand. I documented the day and took the chance to interview organizers, speakers, attendees, and sponsors, as well as capture the overall atmosphere of the event.
The congress was organized by Miguel Florido, director of the Escuela de Marketing and Web de Valencia. He was my first interviewee, and I was surprised when he told me that, in fact, he doesn’t really enjoy organizing events. You wouldn’t guess it, though, since he has already organized around 23 online and in-person conferences since 2017. During our conversation, he shared insights about DSM and his plans to dive deeper into the topic of artificial intelligence.
I also had the pleasure of interviewing Angela Serrano, co-organizer of DSM. Angela holds a Ph.D. in Pedagogy from the University of Valencia and specializes in personal development. During our brief chat, we discussed how the participation of women in the marketing sector has grown and the importance of believing in your dreams to make them happen.
Another special interview was with Benlly Hidalgo, the host of DSM, who introduced each speaker with both knowledge and charisma. Benlly is the CEO of Postgradum University and director of the Master’s in Psychomarketing and Business Growth. In our conversation, he defined marketing in just two words: people and processes, a definition as concise as it is accurate.
Four talks particularly caught my attention. After each presentation, I asked the speakers for a short interview, which you can find in the following section.
Irene Milián was the final speaker with her presentation “How to Boost Your Personal Brand and Get Your First or Better Clients.” Interestingly, she didn’t mention artificial intelligence, and that contrast was refreshing. After a day where AI dominated most discussions, Irene brought us back to the essence of business: human beings.
Álvaro Fontela, founder and CEO of Raiola Networks, shared his experience in “How to Create AI Automations to Build Workflows and Save Time.” He offered plenty of useful advice on organizing work more efficiently. Álvaro regularly publishes content on this topic across his online platforms. Moreover, through Raiola Networks, he organizes another marketing event called RMC Galicia. His company also sponsors the WordPress Community, including the WordPress Valencia Meetup, which I have the pleasure of organizing. Every time a speaker joins, we give them a giant Raiola Networks cookie, and they’re delicious. According to Álvaro, he hasn’t tried them yet, but if he comes to the Meetup, we’ll make sure he does.
Elia Guardiola presented “How to Create a Storytelling Strategy Using AI.” An experienced content creator, Elia spoke about the strength of content written by humans. She specializes in Emotional and Experiential Marketing, Storytelling, and Copywriting.
Sonia Hache encouraged the use of natural intelligence to grow digital businesses, a form of intelligence she highlighted as a balance to the overuse of AI. Sonia is the founder of AITED.org, an organization that helps mothers reconcile family and work life by finding remote job opportunities. Unfortunately, due to technical issues, I wasn’t able to publish her interview.
To close the day, I also spoke with several attendees, including Yannick, the WordPress expert behind La Máquina del Branding, who shared a more critical view, envisioning a future where websites will look very different from what we know today.
The event concluded with a special and inspiring session: the graduation of the latest class from the Escuela de Marketing and Web. Students received their diplomas and congratulations from director Miguel Florido. In the video, we can see Toya Seguí receiving recognition for her outstanding work during her master’s in marketing.
This review represents just a small sample of the excellent lineup of speakers, which also included professionals such as Miguel Trabado, Rosa Morel, Alex Izquierdo, Geni Ramos, Leti Grijó, José María Ruiz, Jesús Alfaro, Judit Catalá, Bego Romero, Rafa Sospedra, María Teruel, Héctor de Prada, Jacob Domínguez, Luis Garau, Jordi San Idelfonso, Pedro Serrano, and Óscar Aguilera. Each brought valuable insights on implementing AI within their respective fields. Yet, the most human-centered talks reminded us of something essential: beyond technology, the true heart of marketing still beats in people, stories, and emotions that connect us.
As evening fell, the day came to a close, a full day of learning, inspiration, and meaningful connections. Collectively, the talks offered an almost 360-degree view of the many disciplines that converge to create an effective digital marketing strategy. With high-quality content, participants shared the latest industry trends tied to the implementation of artificial intelligence.
The future of marketing is no longer measured solely by metrics or strategies, but by our ability to adapt, learn, and experiment. Technology will continue to lead the way, and we must stay up to date to use it efficiently and constructively.
As Miguel Florido mentioned in his interview, to keep pace with technological innovation, the future of the congress will be increasingly linked to AI. In fact, just a few months later, DSM Digital IA took place from October 21 to 23, 2025, focusing entirely on the power of artificial intelligence applied to marketing.
We look forward to the next editions with great excitement, to continue keeping pace with technological innovation that moves fast and never stops. See you at the next DSM Valencia.
